What is "chronic street parking"? It's when a resident frequently parks their vehicle on the street without authorization, causing a constant nuisance or safety concern to the community. Occasional parking for events like parties, gatherings, or authorized home repairs is not considered chronic street parking and is permitted by the Board.
Street parking in Arbor View is not allowed per Article 7.4 in the Arbor View Covenenants, "7.4 Vehicles; Parking. Vehicles shall be parked only in appropriate parking spaces serving the Lot or other designated areas, if any. No on-street parking, other than special events as approved by the Board of Directors, shall be permitted in the community. All parking shall be subject to such rules and regulations as the Board may adopt."
The Arbor View Board has implemented a strict policy for addressing unauthorized, chronic street parking. Residents should report such incidents to using this form. whenever encountered and include the vehicle make, model, color, street address and license-plate information.
Sixes Management Group, will take the following actions for reported incidents:
Warning: A warning letter will be issued for the first reported chronic street parking incident of the week.
Loss of Amenities: If there are five reported incidents in a week at the same address, residents will lose access to Arbor View amenities until no further incidents are reported. Access is restored after a week with no reported incidents.
Project HAVEN is our long term plan to reimagine Arbor View for tomorrow.
Arbor View Signage & Mailbox standard change
Board meetings are held monthly on the third Monday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Arbor View Clubhouse, although they may sometimes be rescheduled (in which case, the Arbor View Calendar will be updated).
Typical meetings include the reading of the minutes from the previous meeting, an update from the treasurer, and reports from various Committees. All residents are invited to attend. If any resident wishes to address the board regarding an issue or concern, please let us know by emailing board@avhood.com so we can add you to the meeting agenda.
Please note if you need to address the board regarding a violation or a financial matter, that will more than likely require a separate hearing before the board
